Rachel SEEMAN
Birth:cir 1797; Holland Ref: [1]

Notes:
The 1820 census lists one "free white female, ages 26-45", which is likely Rachel, which would make her birth year 1794 or earlier.

Rachel's Name:

   - Marriage record on the FamilySearch web site ("Maryland Marriages, 1666-1970") lists the wife of Levi Benjamin as Rachel Simmonds Harson.
   - Ancestry.com Maryland Marriage record lists her as Rachel J. Harson.
   - Living with the family in 1850 is Rachel Seaman, b. c 1775, approximately 22 years older than Rachel Benjamin.
   - In "The forerunners: Dutch Jewry in the North American diaspora," By Robert P. Swierenga (p. 191), we are told that Levi Benjamin's brother-in-law was Moses Millem. "Maryland Marriages, 1666-1970" lists a marriage between Moses Millum and Sarah Seeman (or possibly Leeman) on 22 Feb 1820.

Combining all this information, I suspect that Rachel Seaman (or more likely Seeman) was the mother to at least two daughters, Rachel and Sarah. Rachel had a brief marriage (possibly in Holland) with a man named Harson. Her listing as "Rachel Simmonds Harson" may have been a mis-transcription of "Rachel Seeman Harson".
