Notes:
There is significant disagreement about the parents of Hannah Hibbs, the grandmother of James Fenimore Cooper. Many sites list her as a daughter of William and Ann (Carter) Hibbs, but I am placing her here, as the daughter of William's brother, Joseph. In large part, this is because Fetters does not list a daughter named Hannah for WIlliam and Ann (they do have two Susannahs, but neither seems a good fit).
