Notes: Father born in Ohio, mother in Maryland Address, 1880: Vine St, Mt. Giliad, OH Also worked as a Farmer about the time of John Clyde's birth. Civil War Verteran, Co. D, 65th Ohio Infantry Family plot in Cardington also has graves for Wm. A. and Louisa Garberson, possibly John Berger Garbison's brother and his wife. Annual report of the Attorney General of the United States for the year 1890 (Date: 1891-01-01; Author: U.S. Congress. HouseSerial Set Vol. No. 2851, Session Vol. No.2151st Congress, 2nd SessionH.Exec.Doc. 7, Page 50) lists John B. Garbison as one of five men to receive $3.00 each on September 30, 1890 "for information regarding Robert P. Halliday, fugative from justice." NY Times article dated August 27, 1889 indicates that Halliday misappropriated up to $25,000 from the First National Bank in Mt. Gilead.
