Lena ASTON
Notes:
There seems to be a grave at Baltimore Hebrew Cemetery for a Lena Fox, who died in 1868. This could certainly be a match.
There is also a Lena Fox living with the Blum family in Baltimore in 1870, as a wet nurse. Obviously if this is our Lena, she did not die in 1868. My guess is that our Lena died in 1868, and this is just a coincidence, but this Lena was also born in Wertemburg, in about 1834, so she can not be categorically dismissed.
Another Lena Fox (b. 1823) is in the 1900 US Census at the Baltimore Hebrew & Asylum (Ward 8, ED 105, page 146A).
Delaware Marriage Record for Alexander Fox lists his parents' names as "Sam - Lena Aston". This is the first indication I have found for Lena's maiden name.
