Notes: Possible relation (neice?) of Judah P. Benjamin, CSA Sec of State. In both the 1880 and 1900 census, she gives the birthplace of both parents as Holland, J.P. Benjamin's birthplace, as well as his brothers', was St. Thomas, VI, under British rule. In 1870, Jacob Benjamin (age 43) and Mary A. Benjamin (age 42) lived with Moses and Martha Springer. Jacob might have been Martha's brother.
